REALIZED PROJECTS

Venezuela in Google Earth

Google Earth had history in the computer's world. For the first time, They launch an application that allows to travel around the world, without leaving the office or our homes. In 2006 an extension was created within the software, that allowed the use of 3D layers, so that users in the form of collaborators, could upload in the program, 3D models of buildings such as the Empire State Building in New York, USA or the Pisa's Tower in Italy. Each user could upload their 3D model to the Google 3D Warehouse Gallery and a group of Google moderators, were in charge of reviewing and evaluating the quality of the 3D model to accept it or not in the 3D layer of Google Earth. Once the model was accepted, Any people could visualize within the program of any PC, laptop or Mobile Device around the world. The incursion in this world begins in 2009 where in the form of hobbie the author loads the first of a long list of 600 3D, starting in the Venezuelan city of Maracay.

Once the City of Maracay began to have a density of 3D models in Google Earth, the idea is extended with the creation of buildings and statues in the most important sites of Venezuela (Caracas, Valencia) and in some specific cases, outside Of Venezuela such as the Hemiciclo La Rotonda in Guayaquil, Ecuador and the statue of Simón Bolívar in Miami, USA.

Google cancels the Geolocation program in 2013. But, the 3D layer is still visible, so the models loaded before the date of October 2013 are displayed. Google before canceling this program, recognized all 3D modelers that at least had more than 100 3D models accepted in the 3D layer for Google Earth, this server being the only person to receive this recognition in Venezuela.
